TERMS OF SERVICE

We reserve the right to cancel service at any time for any reason, with or without notice.

Violation of any of the terms listed below may result in cancellation of your account.

Refusal to pay fees will result in immediate cancellation of your account.

PACKAGE RECEIVING AND STORAGE

“Package” is categorized as any parcel (regardless of size) that is considered not machinable by USPS standards, as well as any parcel that is enclosed in any shipping material with the exception of standard letter envelopes or flat manila envelopes. Any mail item that is too large to fit into mailbox will also be categorized as a package. “Business days” are Monday-Saturday.

Packages that are delivered on a pallet or by means of Freight shipping services, and/or packages that exceed FedEx/UPS Ground shipping limitations will be refused at the time of attempted delivery, as we do not have accommodations to accept such deliveries. No exceptions will be made.

All packages regardless of size and/or weight must be claimed (picked up, forwarded, or returned to shipper) within five business days after their arrival. Failure to do so will result in your account being charged a Prolonged Storage fee of $3.00 per package per day it remains in our custody following the first five business days.

Packages larger than 24 inches in any dimension and/or weighing more than 30 lbs will be classified as “large”. Large packages must be claimed within two business days after their arrival. Failure to do so will result in your account being charged a Prolonged Storage fee of $5.00 per package per day it remains in our custody following the first two business days.

Packages larger than 36 inches in any dimension and/or weighing more than 75 lbs will be classified as “oversize”. Oversize packages must be claimed on the day of their arrival. Failure to do so will result in your account being charged a Prolonged Storage fee of $10.00 per package per day it remains in our custody following the delivery date .

You will be notified of any Large or Oversize packages via email on the delivery date.

Packages that are held here for more than one month after the date of delivery will be marked as “unclaimed” and will be returned to shipper. You will receive notice one week before your package is returned to shipper.

PACKAGE/MAIL FORWARDING

Forward requests will be honored on Monday-Friday from 9:00am PST-3:00pm PST.

We charge a $3.00 forwarding fee per mail item, if the mail item is categorized as a Package, even if mail items are in a bundle.

We charge a $3.00 forwarding fee per bundle if only letter mail is being forwarded; no consolidation fees.

We charge a consolidation fee of $8.00 if two or more packages are shipped together.

We do not tamper with the original packaging in which packages were delivered to us. This means we will not honor requests to open packages for any reason. No exceptions will be made. Please note that the “open and scan” option will be rejected if a request is submitted for a mail item that is categorized as a Package. This includes packages that are consolidated; they will be consolidated in the same condition in which they arrived to us.

If you would like to email us a prepaid label to use for forwarding, you may do so. Our $3.00 per package forwarding fee (and will still apply, plus $2.20 printing fee. Charges will also apply for any packaging material required. We do not use carrier-branded shipping boxes such as USPS Flat Rate boxes.

Mail and packages will be forwarded via FedEx, UPS, or DHL only. Forwarding via USPS will be permitted ONLY if the forwarding address is to a PO Box, APO, FPO, or if other limitations apply. Tracking is not optional; we always must be able to track our forwarded parcels.

If your forwarding address is outside of the United States, you (renter) are responsible for being aware of and paying any taxes, duties, and customs fees that may apply.

Forwarding costs will be charged to the card on file prior to package being picked up by shipping carrier. If your payment is declined, you will be notified, and the package will be held until payment is updated.

MAIL HANDLING

Any mail item not classified as First Class Mail will be discarded upon delivery and will not be scanned and uploaded.

Any mail item that is too large to fit into mailbox will be categorized as a package. Terms apply (please see “package receiving and storage”).

Any mail item that includes a tracking number (e.g. Certified Mail, Priority Mail, Media Mail, etc.) will be categorized as a package. Terms apply (please see “package receiving and storage”).

If mail accumulates to the point of no longer fitting into the mailbox, it will need to be stored elsewhere and you will be charged an overflow fee of $9.00. You will be notified via email if this occurs.
